The role of the traditional nursing home has changed over the years. Similarly, Hickory Nursing Pavilion has evolved to welcome a variety of residents with varying levels of need. Our facility provides a wide spectrum of health care services. We offer long and short term care, rehabilitation and restorative therapy, pain management, I.V. and enteral therapy, as well as respiratory and tracheotomy care. At the heart of Hickory Nursing Pavilion is our skilled nursing staff that provides a constant link between the resident, the physician and the family, as they carefully monitor medical, physical and emotional needs.

Our licensed nurses and nursing assistants utilize modern health care equipment and treatment programs, on a 24-hour basis, to ensure the most progressive care available. Our social worker helps residents adjust emotionally to communal living using methods such as group meetings, personal counseling and daily living guidance.

Our goal is to create an environment that meets all of the resident's personal needs relating to physical, emotional and spiritual well being. To that end, we offer daily exercise classes and orientation meetings. We also arrange for professional dental care, audiology, ophthalmology, optometry, and podiatry.

"I've lived in other nursing homes and Hickory Nursing Pavilion is the best of them all. The staff is committed to personal care."
